In the summer, the Ministry of Construction adopted a “roadmap” for technical regulation in the construction of modular buildings on a steel frame. This can be called a step towards the development of both panel development and large-module. Market participants believe that this will stimulate the development of prefab construction from ready-made factory modules and will have a positive effect on the volume and speed of development. Construction in a different way
Modular housing construction today is one of the main innovative market tools and a key area in the Strategy for the development of the construction industry and housing and communal services until 2030. As noted by Ekaterina Dominguez, Director General of the Association for the Development of Modular Construction (ARMS), in October last year, by order of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of the Russian Federation, a working group was created to implement the Roadmap plan for the development of modular construction technologies. Its main goal is to develop a series of standards where requirements for design, manufacture, testing and certification would be established. The Ministry of Construction proposed to justify the use of modular buildings and structures based on the test results, which should confirm the possibility of using such technologies, taking into account the specifics of the development area. They also proposed to certify such objects for compliance with the requirements of the standards.
